Pictures That Surprise

Pictures That Surprise

In the book I talk about a moment that we’ve all had. There we are going through some pictures we’ve done , when suddenly we come across one that seems completely beyond us. We just can’t believe we did it. It is as though someone had borrowed our camera for a moment, someone who is a much better photographer than we are.

Still, there it is, a photo that we’ve taken that jumps us far ahead of ourselves and calls to us to catch up. After the surprise of the first one we hope for more, but think that we don’t know how to get to it.

Getting to it, living up to it, is the work of Looking Into The Light, from beginning to end. There's not room enough to go into it here, but for now, if you have one of those pictures, this is the place to share it.
